HOOPWITH’EM
Hi, I’m Marshall Nelson, I was born in the state of Minnesota in the United States of America before moving to Perth when I was four years old. I grew up in the Perth hills where I played my junior WABL years for the Kalamunda Eastern Suns. After juniors I moved clubs and played for the Perth Redbacks and formed an integral part of the 2017 Redbacks winning the SBL championship. During my time at the Redbacks I also played collegiality in Texas. After 3 years of studying and playing at the collegiate and SBL level, I decided to come home and play for the Illawarra Hawks in the NBL where I played for two seasons from 2017-2019. After playing in the NBL I went to Europe to seek opportunities in Sweden and in Iceland. I am currently still playing professionally/semi professionally while teaching the younger generation the years of things I learnt in my basketball/life experiences over the world.
Some of my career achievements include:
3x WABL MVP
All conference first team 2014-15 NJCAA
3pt% Leader NJCAA 2014-15
Student athlete of the year 2014-15 NJCAA
Conference Champion (waylaid baptist)
SBL Champion 2017
SBL points per game leader 2019
SBL Runner up MVP 2019
